Working with passion toward the one goal of helping you heal is not for everyone. But it is the only way for us.
Our founder: one of the nation's most respected breast surgeons
Advanced Technology Breast Centers® is lead by a breast surgeon with a distinguished 20-year career in breast care, Dr. Jay K. Harness, MD FACS. He has been a pioneer in developing concepts and medical techniques that have changed the way breast disease is treated today.
But just as important as his medical experience is Dr. Harness' heart for women. His understanding and compassion have driven him for over three decades to keep reaching beyond the traditional toward his vision: to treat women better, easier, more gently, in one relaxed setting.
The culmination is Advanced Technology Breast Centers®, where our founder's compassion runs like a bright gold thread through everything we do and all the staff you encounter.
For example, Dr. Harness likes to tell patients, "There has never been a more hopeful time for a breast cancer patient because there are so many exciting advances coming out of the labs. We use them to build your bridge to tomorrow, and when we get to tomorrow, we build another bridge."

Our goal is to ensure that when you choose an Advance Technology Breast Center, you benefit not only from the knowledge and expertise of the Center's staff, but also from a network of experts at other distinguished hospitals around the nation.
St. Joseph Hospital of Orange, site of the first Advanced Technology Breast Center, is widely recognized as Southern California's premier innovator in medical techniques and technology. For example, it is one of the few in the region to earn accreditation from the American College of Radiology for all three areas of breast ultrasound.
